Taxidermy classes

Small Gamehead/Pedestal Workshops! 

This workshop is for any level of taxidermy experience – even someone who has no experience with taxidermy. Some taxidermy experience would be helpful, but not required.

In the class, everyone will mount their own bobcat or coyote pedestal mount, and at the end of class, you’ll get to take the mount home with you to keep. I will be mounting one in the class as well for demonstration!

It will be at my shop in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

All supplies are included in the class – just bring yourself and be ready to learn and have fun!

This class has limited spots available, and a small class size to ensure everyone has enough time and guidance to complete a beautiful  mount. That being said, it is a WOMEN’S ONLY class. As a woman myself (obviously lol) I’m passionate about other woman entering the taxidermy world and not being intimidated or discouraged to do so. There are numerous women’s hunting workshops, women’s rodeo clinics… so why not a women’s taxidermy class? 

The class will consist of topics including but not limited to: cape prep, manikin prep, eye sculpting, mounting, reading reference, measuring skins, washing a mount, grooming, mount drying techniques, sewing, replacement nose installation, form and material selection, and will also include demonstrations on: finishing techniques, filler work, painting and painting materials, and skinning a head.

The deposit amount to hold your spot is $1000 and the remaining balance is due by the end of the first day of class. If there needs to be a cancellation, the deposit is generally nonrefundable except under special circumstances, but the deposit can be transferred one time to a future class. The mount itself, that you get to keep, has a $1000 value! 

Lunch will provided everyday during the class.
